High Level Partnership Forum on Somalia due to open today

The High Level Partnership Forum on Somalia is anticipated to open Copenhagen today, the two days conference hosted by the government of Denmark will be attended by delegates from different countries, UN special envoy to Somalia Nicholas Kay, organizations and Somali delegates led by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.

Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud will chair the  New Deal  conference in Copenhagen , it will be co-chaired by United Nations.

During the meeting the participants will focus on will discuss wide range issues including economic foundations, security and state building, strengthening financial accountability, the vision of 2016 and the achievement of the federal government.

The president of the republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is expected to give a keynote speech at the conference.

The United states will not send delegates to the high level partnership forum on Somalia due to the political in-fighting between the top leaders.
