Italy Hands over Military Consignment to Somali Government

Italian government has delivered military equipment to Somali National Army on Thursday.
A total of 54 armored and personnel carrier vehicles were handed over by Italian officials at well organized ceremony held in Mogadishu port in attendance with some of SNA senior officials including army chief General Dahir Elmi aliases Indha-Qarshe.
Mr. Dahir commended Italian government for their cooperation and continuous support while reaffirming the success of their initiative.
On his part, Bernando Mencaraglia, high rank official from Italy defence ministry said the vehicles were part of earlier pledges taken Italian government for Somalia.
