Security operation in Bay Region nets suspects

Coordinated security operation by Somali National Forces and AMISOM troops in several villages and districts in Bay region of south-west Federal State netted at least twenty suspects.
The operation started this Thursday early morning hours after intelligence tip-off indicated the presence of Alshabab members in the area.
Military sources confirmed the arrest of at least twenty people and said they are trying to identify Alshabab members from the arrested people.
South-west state security forces, Somali National Army and AMISOM troops previously launched a number of operation meant to degrade Alshabab fighters in south-west State regions.
