Hudur authorities vow to re-open blocked roads

After two years of Al-Shabab sanctions, the administration of Hudur town vowed to launch massive operations to clear the blocked main roads leading to town.

District Commissioner of Hudur, Mohamed Moalim speaking to Goobjoog News has cited that they will soon commence operation to annihilate Al-shabab fighters from the region.
“The joint troops will soon launch massive offensive to weed out Al-Shabab fighters from the roads they cut off after they were driven out from the main towns” Moalim said.

He also said that the joint forces will open the roads linking some districts in Bay and Bakol regions.

Moalim added that the vehicles carrying essential goods to the town and humanitarian aid agencies will soon be able to reach the area and deliver emergency aid to the  affected people.

Finally the district commissioner said that his administration will continue the operations until all the roads linking Bakol to the neighbouring regions blocked by Al-shabab will be fully opened.
