Government forces raided the house of former Somali pirate
Federal government forces have arrested former Somali pirate Mohamed Osman Mohamud Galool aka Garfanje, a commander Mohamed Dahir Farah Qoley and a number of his guards after they raided his house in Labadagah vilage of wardhigley district last night.
The forces seized weapons and ammunitions including rockets from Garfaaje’s house during the planned operation against illegal weapons in the capital.
Mohamed Abdi and his guards are now in a custody near presidential palace.
The federal government has not yet given comment about the issue.
The government of Somalia launched a campaign to disarm militias earlier this month with its troops backed by AMISOM.
