Government forces conduct operations in Bakara market

The security forces of federal government including police and security intelligence conducted intensive security operations in Bakara market earlier today.

The forces blocked the main roads entering Bakara market, at least 45 people were arrested during the security crackdown in the market.

Goobjoog reporter who was in the market during the operations said the forces were arresting everybody they see particularly youths.

Howl-wadag district commissioner Ahmed Noor Abdi Siyad said the arrested individuals will be taken to Police stations for thorough investigations.

He added that the operation is meant maintain the security of the city particularly Howl-wdadg district.

This operations comes a time when government forces and AMISOM were conducting disarmament operations in Mogadishu since last week.
