One died in bomb blast in Mogadishu

At least one person and four others injured in Mogadishu after bomb buried at SNA checkpoint went off on Monday night.

One of the injured people is reported to be civilian who happened to be near the scene during the explosion while the three others are soldiers.

No group has immediately claimed the responsibility for the attack, but Al-Shabab had previously carried out blast attacks against Somali government soldiers.

Somali security forces have cordoned off the scene of the bomb explosion and kicked off an operation  to hunt the perpetrators.

Car bombs and assassinations are frequent in Mogadishu.
