One body recovered, another missing in River Shabelle
One body found and another one is missinf in River Shabelle at Beyhaaw village in the outskirt of Jowhar town after the two men drowned in the river.
Confirming the incident on Wednesday, Beyhaw chief, Hamud Ahmed said the two men drowned as they tried to fetch water from the river.
“The two men drowned after they suddenly slipped and fell into the river and one of bodies of the men was recovered by the locals,” said Ahmed.
Ahmed says he’s shocked to hear of the tragedy on the water
“It’s a sad thing to happen, you never expect it, but it happens,” he re grated.
“It has been tough for us searching for the bodies of the men in this river for hours but we recovered the body of one of the men,” said one of the volunteers trying to rescue the men.
He said the search is still underway for the another man.
