Government forces arrests dozens of people in wadajir district

Federal government forces backed by AMISOM troops in Mogadishu conducted dawn operations in Wadajir district of Banadir region on Tuesday.

Dozens of people mostly youth were apprehended by the forces from the villages affected by the dawn operations.

Public transport was disrupted after the forces blocked the main streets in the district during the operations, the students and business people were going to sholls and markets on foot.

The arrested people were taken to the police stations in Wadajir district where their investigations in underway.

Wadajir district commissioner Ahmed Abdulle Afrah said the operations in the district are part of the government’s plans to maintain the security of the city.
