President Hassan appoints the chief of Somali military court
Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has appointed the country’s chief of military court days after the former court chief was appointed as the new director of Somali intelligence.
In a presidential decree dated on 23rd September 2014, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud officially appointed Col. Liban Ali Yarrow as the new head of Somali military court.
Col. Liban before his appointment was the chairman of the military court.
President Hassan has also appointed Hassan Ali Noor Shuute as the new chairman of the military court to replace Mr. Yarrow.
Mr. Shuute was acting head of Somali military court before he was promoted.
The decree also noted that the nomination of the new chief of the military court came following recommendations made by the defense minister Mohamed Sheikh Haamud.
