Breaking News: Federal parliament approves the newly appointed Somali premier

The federal parliament of Somalia has unanimously approved the  newly appointed premier of federal government of  Somalia Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharma’arke.

The speaker of federal parliament Mohamed Sheikh Osman Jawari announcing the results after the votes said “ Out of 224 MPs in attendance 218 MPs voted in favour of the premier, no members rejected nor abstained from the exercise.

He also said that six MPs walked out of the hall before the voting exercise kicked off.

Somali premier has been sworn in before the parliament by the  head of Somali high court Aidid Abdullahi Ilka Hanaf.
