PM Sharma’arke officially takes office

The newly appointed Somali prime minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharma’arke has officially taken office on Thursday after colourful ceremony held in villa Somalia.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, out-going cabinet ministers, lawmakers and other guests attended the handover ceremony.

The out-going minister for education of federal government Duale Adan Mohamed speaking on behalf of the cabinet outlined the achievement of the government.

The former prime of minister of Somalia Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed while handing over the responsibility  thanked president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, his cabinet ministers and public over their support to his out-going government during his tenure.

He called the new government and federal parliament of Somalia to work hand and hand  and avoid similar unnecessary difference that will total to disruption of the smooth running of government activities and urged them to remain United so as to implement the tasks in hand.

On his side the new prime minister Mr Sharma’arke praised the out-going government led by Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed, he said the government has scored concrete success both locally and globally.

He promised to take task from where the former government left  so as to realize and win the new deal 216.

President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud closing the  ceremony congratulated the work done by the out-going PM and his cabinet, he called them to work closely with the new government and share their expertise with new government.
