South West Somalia state appoints security committee
The newly established regional state of South West Somalia has named security committee comprising of five ministers.
The security committee was formed in an extra-ordinary meeting of cabinet minister in Baidoa on Tuesday evening.
Information minister of South West Somalia state Hassan Abdi Mohamed briefing the media after the meeting said the appointed committee are assigned to organize, execute and strengthen the security of all the area under the control of the regional state.
He added that the cabinet meeting focused on speeding up the fight against Al-shabab and strengthening the group effort and collaboration between federal government forces and the newly formed administration.
This is the second meeting of the ministers since appointed last week.
