A Commanding Officer Hand Himself In to Southwest State

The Deputy Commander of Special Police Force of Southwest State Abduule Isak surrendered himself to the security forces in Baidoa following Friday gun battle in the town.

Reports reaching Goobjoog News says at 8pm last night the Deputy Commander handed himself to Baidoa Police Station who is alleged to be have started the fight which caused seventeen people to lose their lives.

Commander Abdule and his troops were hiding secretly for two days in the outskirts of the town though after consultation he was convinced to hand himself over to the Law.

He is currently under interrogation in Baidoa Police Station while security operation is under way to arrest the rest of the soldiers and private persons that participated in the tragic fight.

The President of Southwest State Sharif Ahmed Sheikh Adan has the same Friday ordered the arrest of the soldiers who are behind the battle.

Seventeen people including thirteen civilians perished in the fights who were receiving humanitarian aid as a result of heated argument over food distribution.

The battle was between the security forces of Baido town Commissioner and the Special Police Force of Southwest State.
