A court in Garowe fines a man $ 2400

Nugal regional court had withdrawn verdict on a man found guilt of circulating counterfeit banknotes in Garowe, the administrative capital of Puntland.

following the hearing of the case of Abshir Mohamed Hersi who has been caught while active on transporting sacks of counterfeit Somali Shillings, the regional tribunal charged Hersi with six months of Prison and Fine of $2,400 worth of money.

The court also ordered the counterfeit notes to be set on fire.
