Assailants suspected to be members of the Al-shabaab terror group on Tuesday night attacked a police station in Dadajubula, Wajir County and killed two terror suspects who were in custody.
According to Kenyan Police Spokesman Charles Owino Two police officers sustained injuries during the fierce shootout that ensued when the attackers stormed the station after two members of the terrorist group were arrested and locked up.
Owino told journalists that officers on guard had to take cover since it was an ambush.
“It was during this period that the militants killed their colleagues. They could not rescue them,” Owino said.
