Al-Shabaab executes fellow Tanzanian fighter

Al-Shabaab fighters executed a comrade said to be a Tanzanian for allegedly spying for the United States and Rwandan Intelligence agencies in Jilib of Middle Jubba.

The group identified the man as 8846244 Issa James Mwaisige who has been fighting alongside group for years.

The group’s court judge who sentenced the Tanzanian Jihadi said that the man pleaded guilty of all charges against him during the court hearing and was subsequently sentenced to death.

The executed Tanzanian said in the Video that he has received $4,000 from US central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Rwanda’s intelligence to orchestrate plots to kill senior jihadist leaders.

Mwaisige was executed by a firing squad in Jilib town, about 410 km south of Mogadishu city, according to a new video released by Al-Shabaab.

Hundreds of local residents, including women and young children have been called to watch the execution event which took place at the centre of the town.
