Al-Shabaab radio destroyed in airstrike-state media

A mobile radio station used by the militant group Al-Shabaab was Saturday night destroyed in an airstrike, state media has said.

According to Radio Mogadishu, airstrikes hit Jilib town, a stronghold of Al-Shabaab in Middle Jubba region in southern Somalia targeting Al-Shabaab militants destroying Radio Andulus.

The radio station which Al-Shabaab has been using to disseminate its propaganda in areas it controls was destroyed and initial reports indicate those who were operating it were killed, Radio Mogadishu said.
