Al-Shabab kills two SNA soldiers at Fanweyn

Al-Shabab fighters killed two SNA soldiers and two other are reportedly missing after the group attacked army vehicle heading Garbaharay town, witness said.

Four soldiers who were travelling in military car were attacked at a restaurant in Faanweyn locality during a stopover, according Abdi Omar a resident of Fanweyn.

Omar said two soldiers were killed at spot while remaining two escaped the area.

the soldiers stopped to get a quick bit and wanted to proceed but several Al-Shabab fighters have attacked…. two soldiers at the spot and the remaining two ran away” he said.

Al-Shabab fighters have been battling SNA soldiers and attacked several military bases where they killed tens of SNA and AMISOM soldiers.
