Al-Shabab officer Surrendered to Somali national army

Government troop’s officials announced Al-Shabab officer surrendered to government troops. Al-Shabab officer identified as Olad Abdirahman Herow, surrendered to government troops in Hudur the headquarter of Bakool region on Monday.

Hudur district security commissioner Ibrahim Issack Ibrahim said the officer was one of the residents in Hudur and thanked him for leaving Al-Shabaab. Olad Abdirahman Herow, who was among Al-Shabab top officials surrendered to the government troops, said: “I was serving Al-Shabab as a driver for 11 years but I left and now demand the public to forgive me”.

Al-Shabab has not yet commented on the reports from Hudur district administration that Al-Shabab officer operating in Bakool region surrendered to the government forces.
