AMISOM Deploy Troops to Guri El town

AMISOM troops from Djibouti are deployed to Guri El town after a brief standoff with Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jamah fighters on their way to the town.

As per our earlier reports, there has been standoff between AMISIM troops transiting Mataban district on their way to Guri El and Ahlu Sunnah fighters who were suspicious of this new military movement by the peacekeepers.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that AMISOM is deployed there in an anticipation for the visit of a high ranking government leader there.

Guri El is the town where government troops and Ahlu Sunnah were fighting for the last 4 months.
