Arab League Appoints New Ambassador to Somalia

Arab League appointed Hamoud Samaran Al Jowhary as the new ambassador to Somalia to head their office in Mogadishu.

The new ambassador presented his credentials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation. He is also expected to meet soon with President Farmajo.

The Arab League has its headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. Somalia joined the organization in 1974 during the reign of Said Bare.

Ambassador Hamoud’s Profile

Hamoud Samaran Al Jowhary was born in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia in 1383/1963. He completed his degree In Law from the University of King Saud.

He also possesses several certificates on Diplomacy, Constitutional Governance and Conflict Resolutions.
