At least 6 killed, 16 injured in Hodan district HQs attack

At least six people were killed and 16 others injured in a car bomb explosion at Hodan District headquarters in Mogadishu.

Goobjoog News correspondents in the scene of the incident and Medina Hospital squoting medical sources said the dead toll could rise as those injured continued receiving emergency treatment.

The bombing which is the second in barely a week after a similar one at Hawlwadag district headquarters went off at around 9.30 am local time.

Eye witnesses said a 4×4 vehicle drove into the local government building before blowing up leaving death and destruction in its wake.

The militant group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.
