At least 8 killed, 15 injured in bomb attack in Mogadishu

At least 8 people have died and 15 others killed in a car bomb explosion that ripped a market in Wadajir district in Mogadishu.

Goobjoog News correspondent at the scene in Kawa-Godey area says the bomb destroyed the market killing several people and wounding others.

“Aamin Ambulance has confirmed to us that they have collected 8 bodies and ferried 15 injured people to the hospital,” he said.

Pictures from the scene show sections of the market destroyed.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack which comes barely two weeks after three bomb attacks claimed at least 50 lives in the city centre.
