Attorney General: I am warning against more crime
Somali National attorney general Ahmed Ali Dahir has warned against committing further criminal activities since no one is above the law.
He stressed on the need to be submissive to lawful orders and warned against committing further criminal activities.
“It is imperative to be alert and to distance one from making many more crimes while also hiding earlier criminal activities. A crime has no littleness and anyone that commits a crime will face the law” concluded Dr. Dahir.
Addressing the media on the event of releasing operation information by the federal security minister on the arrest of Abdirahman Abdishakur, he noted the ongoing investigations by the government on politicians who wants to create turmoil in the administration.
“Investigations are underway in line with the constitution relating to some politicians and officials suspected of criminal activities that we said will make chaos in the government. I want to stress once again that no one is above the law and has to be abided with” said Attorney General Dahir
He noted the likelihood of the suspects facing the law following the outcome of the investigation. “Whatever emerges from the investigation will be presented in a court which is an onus upon us for every citizen to be given a fair trial.”
Yesterday the attorney general requested the House of People to lift the impunity from two of its members MPs Hassan Maalin Mohamed and Abdinasir Noor Shuirye allegedly accused of receiving foreign funds, intentions to dethrone the government and illegal mobilization activities among others.
