Baidao Police in a Routine Security Operation

Baydhabo police forces have launched several security crackdowns meant to ensure the town’s security after several high profile killings in the town.

This comes at a time when government officials and other important persons are targeted in the city with assassinations by armed insurgent groups; this includes the assassination of two prominent Sheikhs in the city within one week.

Yesterday, unknown assailants murdered Sheikh Adam Moalin Abdullahi in a week after after another Islamic Scholar Sheik Hussein Hassan Aka Soor Ma Daare was gunned down.

Security officials confirmed that this is part of the government initiatives in ensuring security in Baydhabo.

It seems there is a plane in place to wipe out Somali Islamic Scholars in Baidao who condemn violence and advocate peace and stability in their religious sermons.
