Banadir administration plans in the coming five years to desist the IDPs living the outskirts of the capital Mogadishu.

In a meeting of yesterday participated by the humanitarian and disaster minister of the federal government of Somalia Hamse Sa’id Hamze and the governor of Banadir region Abdirahman Omar Osman discussed the matters of the IDPs in and the outskirts of Mogadishu.

The humanitarian and disaster management minister, Hamse who chaired the meeting said, “Half million displaced people live within Mogadishu and its suburb, it is unfortunate that we do not take action of extracting being displaced people and the federal government of Somalia should take its role of how these people should be out of displacement in the near future.”

The governor of Mogadishu Abdirahman Osman, who has attended the meeting, said that they have been working for the past 12 months of finding a solution for the displaced people in the near future.

“Honestly, as Banadir region administration will do its best to serve for the people and also they do their responsibility and to get the displaced people their rights same as the ordinary people living in the city.” Said Yarisow

The governor of Banadir region also added that they are planning for the coming five years to find a solution to all the displaced people living in the outer skirts of Mogadishu.
