Breaking News: 100 MPs meet Parliament Speaker

According to members of Somali parliament, more than 100 MPs held tonight a meeting with the speaker of the Federal Parliament Mohamed Osman Jawari in an attempt to know position of the speaker and his two deputies in regard to the recently submitted motion of no confidence against the Prime Minister Abdiwali Sheik Ahmed.

Members of the parliament who attended the meeting told Goobjoog News that the Speaker Mohamed Osman Jawari told the members that he will not allow that motion be debated in the parliament reasoning that the motion was triggered by unconstitutional reasons and it is merely based on political difference.

It was last Wednesday, November 5 when more than 100 parliamentarians tabled a motion of no confidence against Prime Minister Abdiwali Sheik in which they accused the prime minister of failure and mismanagement.
