Breaking News: Delegates Endorse Central State Charter

adadoThe members of Somali central state delegates have debated on professional charter.

After hours of long debate the members have casted vote for the charter.

Subsequent to the casting of the vote, the result is announced, 310 delegates voted in favour of the motion, 12 rejected while 29 abstained therefore the professional charter is endorsed.

According to the newly approved charter, Galmudug state is the selected name for the soon-to-be-formed state as its capital administrative will be Dhusa-Mareb town which is now under the control of moderate Islamist group, Ahlu-Sunna Waljama’a.

This comes when Somali government is in talks with Ahlu-sunna which has taken over the control of Dhusa-Marewb earlier this month after engaging furious gun battle with government soldiers who later on withdrew town.

On 10th this month, Ahlu-Sunna declared that its delegates would vacate the conference within 24 hours.

Speaking to Goobjoog News, its leader Sheikh Ibrahim Gurre, who was among the signatories to Somali central State formation conference put blame on Somali minister for internal affairs, Abdirahman Odawaa.

“The internal minister is a naive young boy who is new in the political arena so i have no answer for him” he said.

He added that they do not recognize the government “this government is not representing us”
