Breaking News: Landmine explosion kills one person and injures 2 others in Afgooye

One soldier has been killed and two others including a civilian injured in a landmine explosion in Afgooye’s animal market.

Afgooye deputy district commissioner, Yussuf Mohamed has confirmed the explosion saying the land mine explosion killed a government soldier and wounded two others.

“The bomb planted near Suqa-holaha (Animal Market) went off. One soldier died on the spot while 2 others including one civilian were hit by shrapnel,” he said.

The security forces launched operations to pursue the perpetrators though nobody was arrested yet.
