Breaking News: SNA recaptures Buq-Aqable locality from Al-Shabab fighters

Storyline:National News

Somali National Army backed by Ethiopian troops under AMISOM has retaken key stronghold locality from Al-Shabab as part of a renewed offensive.
Residents told Goobjoog News that fighters withdrew from Buq-Aqable town which the group has controlling for years.

The area is located 40km west of Bullo burde town which is struggling with siege imposed by Al-Shabab fighter 2 years ago.
Al-Shabab used Buq-Aqable as a hideout to launch attacks on other parts of Somalia, according to SNA officials.
The group is battling Somalia’s government for control of the country.
Al-Shabab has carried out several deadly attacks on Government institutions, army camps and hotels, 27th last month a suspected Al-Shabab suicide bomber driving a lorry packed with explosives hit the gate of Jazeera Palace hotel near the city’s airport killing more ten people and injuring over 25 others.
The continuing loss of territory means al-Shabab is being cornered into a smaller area, surrounded by Somali and regional forces, Somali analysts say.
It is highly unlikely that the group will be able to retake any of the towns it has lost in the latest offensive.
AMISOM and Somali National Army are preparing to improve the security of the region amid preparations for the upcoming state formation conference for Hiran and Middle Shebelle.
