Breaking News: Turkish President reaches Mogadishu

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has landed at Adan Adde International airport where he was received by his Somali counterpart, Hassan Sheikh Mahmud.

The president and his delegation were escorted to the newly built Turkish embassy which is Turkey’s largest embassy in Africa.

This is the third visit of Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan in Somalia.

In 2011 Erdogan become the first none-African head of state to visit war tone country in two decades.

Security in Mogadishu has also been tightened while heavy security personnels have been deployed to every corner of the city.
