Bur-hakaba administration arrests seven people after heavy operation

Federal government forces and African union troops have apprehended many people mostly youth suspected of being Al-shabab members after conducting security operations around and about Buur-hakaba district in Bay region.

Senior official of Bur-hakaba administration Hussein Mohamed Ali stated that the joint forces have arrested at least seven people in dawn massive operations in the district and nearby areas.

Mr. Hussein added that the suspects were moved to Baidoa, the headquarters of Bay region for further investigations.

He finally said the security of Bur-hakaba has improved since Indian Ocean operation launched by the joint forces on Southern Somalia.
