Clan Militias Clash in Mudug

At least 2 people are reported to have dead and 4 others wounded after two clan militias clashed on in Gacnafale iyo Dameral localities in the eastern parts of Mudug region.

The clans, who hail from Puntland and Galmudug, have been in disagreement over water and grazing lands.

One Traditional Elder Mohamed Ahmed Omar has told Goobjoog that they are doing efforts to calm down the tensions and called on the sides to cease fire immediately.

There have been recurrent clashes between clan militias in Mudug, which is split into the two administrations of Puntland and Galmudug.
