Clan Militias Clash in Saaho, Mudug

There has been renewed fighting in Saaho, Mudug region between two clans residing in the same locality.

According to reliable sources in the area, the fighting has claimed one person and wounded one more.

The politically motivated clan war has been raging for months on and off, and this latest clashes came after days of standoff in the district.

Puntland recognizes Saaho as one of their district, so as Galmudug state, and this has added fuel to the already frosty relationship between the clans residing there.

Negotiation efforts have yet to yield fruits and appeals for calm had fallen on death ears.
