CORRECTION: President Laftagareen tell federal gov’t forces in Baidoa to return to their bases

Southwest President Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed has today ordered all the military forces of the federal government of Somalia to return back to their military bases in and the outskirt of the Baidoa town the capital of Southwest state.

The president said that the military army soldiers have to go back to their bases on the outskirts of the town and instructed that he would not like to notice an armed military soldier moving within the town and instructed to trust those assigned to secure the town.

President Laftagaeen has accused the military forces were involved in killing civilians including a well famous businessman who was yesterday killed in Baidoa.

He has also commanded the army officers to immediately arrest the soldiers who were behind the killings and should appear in court for justice.

Baidoa is still under high tension with the recent killings in the town as the police forces have been ordered to stay alert.

In our earlier article, August 10 2019, we indicated that Southwest state president Laftagareen has ordered the Somali military forces to leave Baidoa town the capital of Southwest state. We have since confirmed that the president has only commanded the forces to return to their duty military bases.
