CORRECTION: Resettlement Director not charged but detained over graft claims

A director in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs was Thursday arrested over allegations of corruption.

Dahir Mohamed Nur, the director of Resettlement in the Humanitarian Affairs Ministry was detained in what the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) said was in connection with the loss of $84,000.

In our earlier article, July 26, 2018, we indicated that Nur had been charged over the alleged loss of funds. We have since established the government official has not been charged but only detained.
