Disabled People Request for Emergency Aid in Adado

Handicapped people living in Adado town in Galgaduud region are in dire humanitarian situation prompting them to seek emergency aid.

The severely disabled people are comprised of men and women have no ability to work which led them to have no food to break their fast with.

“We lead a hardship lifestyle. We need everything because of our disability. We want able people to reach us with emergency assistance” was told Goobjoog News by one of the disabled women.

The chairperson of the disabled persons in Adado town Abdullahi Omar Jama explained that his people do not have limbs to work and currently they live in dire circumstances with no one to rely for sustenance.

“They relies no one for sustenance, their situation is miserable and they are seeking from their fellow citizens to reach them with food to break their fast, an issue that is nagging their minds as to where to get their next meal from” said chairperson Jama.

The country wide devastating famine did not spare Galgadud region and the local residents are still affected by the harsh reality of food shortages in the holy month of Ramadan.
