Elders Meet in Baidao to Mediate Clan Conflict

Elders held meetings in an effort to solve and mediate clan conflict in Lower Shabelle and to bring lasting peace in the whole South West regions.

Elder Abdikadir Ajuuke, one of the participants told Goobjoog that elders from the whole regions were in attendance and that they reached a consensus to achieve lasting peace between the warring clans in Qoryoley, lower shabelle.

The elders would send mediation delegates to the affected areas and enforce a cease fire.

There have been tribal clashes in Qoryooley, Lower Shabelle for the past two months.
