Elders Meet in Mogadishu, Says Central State Formation Conference Should Be Held In Dhusamareb

Prominent elders of different communities inhabiting in the central regions, particularly Galgadud and Mudug today took meeting in Mogadishu and discussed about the upcoming conference for the formation of Central State of Somalia..

Chief Ahmed, who was among elders meeting in Mogadishu said that the meeting was about consultation and getting common idea from the residents of these regions towards the upcoming conference.

He said that where and how the conference should be held is not for up to certain tribe or person. Rather it’s something that all communities should reach a consensus.

Finally, the elders reached decision stating that the meeting would be held in Dusamareb while Somalia federal government initially planned the upcoming meeting to be held in Adado town.

This comes at a time when government officials in the town of Dhuusamareeb are in preparation to build a hall and facilities to accommodate delegates for the formation of upcoming central state government.
