Emergency meeting on Baido conflicts embarks in the city

An emergency meeting is going on in Baidoa, the headquarters of Bay region to get a lasting solution for fresh conflicts between South West administrations of three and six regions.

The meeting was chaired by Abdi Adan Hossow, Baidoa district commissioner and Baidoa Police commander as Mohamed Abdiaziz, a freelance journalist in Baidoa confirmed to Goobjoog FM.

Delegates from the UN and AMISOM arrived  in Baidoa to persuade Madobe Nunow to give up his feeling of ruling six regions and join the recognized administration of three regions led by Mohamed Abdinoor Madeer so as to end the disagreement in the region.

This meeting comes a time when government forces surrounded ADC building where elders and senior officials of Nunow’s administration were meeting.

The security situation of Baidoa was tightened by AMISOM troops, especially the Ethiopian forces who are seen in every junction of the city.

The federal government of Somalia has recognized South West Somalia of three regions and formed a technical committee to facilitate the formation of the administration.
