Storyline:National News

The Speaker of Khatumo Parliament Mohamud Sheikh Omar cited many issues concerning his recent travel to Hargeysa, Somaliland among them administration system in Somaliland.

The Speaker mentioned that the current structure of government in place in Somaliland is not one that is appealing to Khatumo state and they are not ready to be uniting under such governance though they opted to amalgamate with them due to internal strife and political instability in Khatumo state according to the Speaker Mohamud.

Speaking to Goobjoog News, the Speaker said there are ongoing talks between the two neighbouring states.

It was recently when the President of unrecognized Khatumo State Ali Khalif Galeyr and Speaker Mohamud visited together the breakaway region of Somalia.

It was on the 19th June 2017 when Somaliland and Khatumo agreed on Five Articles as a precursor for future negotiations and unification though it was opposed by some intellectuals from Khatumo state.
