Ethiopian soldiers killed in Bakool region,Southwest Somalia

Reports from Wajid district in Bakol region indicate that Ethiopian troops were killed on the outskirts of the district. Al-Shabaab, which has claimed the responsibility for the attack, has shot at least two soldiers who were proceeding to Somali border with Ethiopia.

In a statement posted on the Al-Shabaab website, the soldiers were killed while trying to escape from their camp and reach their country but unfortunately, Al-Shabaab militants captured and later shot dead.

AMISOM security official has not released any information about Ethiopian troops killed in Bakool region, of Southwest state, claimed by Al-Shabab.

Bakool region is one of the volatile areas and most heavily populated by Ethiopian troops which still controlled by Al-Shabaab fighters.
