Federal government forces close main roads in Mogadishu

The security forces of federal government of Somalia have closed up Makka Al-Mukarrama road, one of the busiest streets in the capital, Mogadishu.

Mohamed Osman Warsame, Goobjoog reporter in the area says that heavy presence of security forces is felt, the normal movement of public and private vehicles curtailed.

The reporter says the public vehicles and pedestrians were seen using small roads inside the villages which eventually led traffic jam.

The reason behind the closure of the street is not yet clear but normally the forces block the main roads during the important meetings of federal parliament to beef up security.
