Fighting Breaks Out in Guri El, Galgadud

Fighting has reignited between government troops and Ahlu Sunah Wal Jama’a forces in Guri El town of Galgadud region.

The fighting has started when Ahlu Sunah fighters attacked government positions outside the town.

Details of the casuals are scarce, but sources indicate it could cost huge loss.

An eyewitness in the town told Goobjoog that the fighting is very intense

Its later spread to the town and both sides engaged in nail biting battle in the suburbs of the town.

Residents of the town have started fleeing from their homes for safe areas outside the town.

Government took over the town months before and driven the Ahlu Sunnah forces out of the town.
