Fire destroys farms in Puntland

Puntland administration has contained the fire outbreak that has gutted down several hectres of crops in Bari region.
The inferno at farming fields has destroyed hundreds of fruit trees such grape, pawpaw, mango, lemon trees that growing in fifteen neighbourhood farms in that region.
The cause of the fire has not yet been established though the police lunched investigation.
Asli Hirsi Mohamud, one of the farmers who lost tonnes of crops to the fire outbreak has told Goobjoog News that the fire spread to large areas leading destruction of crops.
“The fire destroyed fifteen farms and homes and killed animals as hot weather and strong winds saw the rural areas by flames. It was natural disaster” she said.
