First deputy of the Attorney General fired
The first deputy of the Somali federal attorney general Ahmed Ali Aybakar was today relieved of his duty.
Information received from a reliable resource by Goobjoog News indicated that Aybakar was shown the door due to the recent confrontation between the federal government and some opposition figures.
The sacking is said to have related to the recent disastrous attack on former presidential and one time minister Abdirahman Abdishakur and subsequent arrest.
One week ago, Abdishakur was arrested during a late night attack on his Mogadishu residential house near Jazeera hotel by Somali government special forces and was detained before he was released 3 days later by Banadir regional court for lack of sufficient evidence against him.
