Five passengers died after Al-shabab opened fire on truck near Abaal locality in Bakol

Reports from Bakol region state that at least five people died and many others wounded after armed group suspected of Al-shabab opened fire on car passengers were on board.

One of passengers confirmed to the state owned radio that armed men ambushed and opened fire on a lorry near Abaal locality in Bakol region.

Among those who died during the ambush were two women. The wounded passengers were rushed to health Centers in area for treatment.

Al-shabab has not yet commented about the incident.

When the allied forces captured the main strongholds of Al-shabab in the region, the group blocked the main roads connecting the major districts and prevented the trucks transporting essential goods from reaching the area hence the prices of the goods and services doubled.
