Floods affect 90% percent of Beledwene town as Humanitarian situation dire

River floods sweep 90% of the residential districts in Baladwene town in Hiran region of Somalia. The displaced residents face food and medical shortage as they scattered villages around the town. Goobjoog correspondent in the region reports.

Federal delegation led by petroleum and natural resource minister Mohmmad Mukthar and Djibouti ambassador  to Somali went Baldwene on this Thursday to evaluate the flood scale in the city.

Local aid organization provided food and blankets to some 1000 displaced families around the town.

Military trucks and tractors help resident to flee the town as the small vehicle cannot operate deep waters in the town.
