Former deputy speaker dies in Mogadishu

Former deputy speaker under president Abdulqasim Salad Hassan’s administration has died in Mogadishu after a short illness.

Ahmed Abore Amin was deputy speaker of the Transitional National Government formed in Arte, Djibouti.

His death was confirmed by his son citing that his father died in hospital mid last night due to short illness.

Abore was among MPs elected in Arte, Djibouti, and was later elected as deputy speaker.

The deceased had lived in Mogadishu for the last 17 years.

He will be buried in Mogadishu today.
